The start of the local hiking trail TV1 is at the parking lot opposite the K-Restaurant - Stawelerstrooss 2 in Huldingen. It can also be reached by public transport (170, 172, 173).
The hike first goes a short distance along the Vennbahn cycle path until it turns left onto a small forest trail. The path runs above the Huldingen railway tunnel. It's worth taking a detour to walk to the railway tunnel with its arcade-style retaining walls.
Along the Kléngelbur stream to the old railway keeper's house, we turn right over the bridge and follow the Vennbahn cycle path again. From here, the trail gently climbs through the Géidingerbësch, before reaching the Buergplaz (558.35m), which is still marked by its old water tower, the landmark of Huldingen and the second-highest point in the country. From the Buergplaz, a short path leads us back to our starting point.
Tip: It's also possible to check out the highest point of the country: the Kneiff (560.08 m). At the parking lot by the info point, we leave the underpass on the left and keep going straight.
